Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame on Sadiq Khan as Uber rapes soar!

There have been 32 rapes by Uber drivers in a year and still heartless Sadiq Khan keeps handing out the licences.  The rape figures started to soar when Osbo was handling TfL and Uber, and it is alleged his cheery comment was “Don’t tell passengers!  They will stop taking minicabs! “

The Sun reported:  “The California-based firm has been hit with a string of sexual assault claims in the US and it was banned in New Delhi, India, after a passenger was raped.”

Sadiq Khan could pull Uber’s licence right here, right now, if he wanted to!

During his Mayoral campaign, Sadiq Khan, then one of Labour’s candidates for London mayor, said he would suspend Uber immediately if it emerged just a single driver did not hold genuine paperwork or was not properly insured.  Desperate to be Mayor, Sadiq talked tough!  He,  Sadiq, would protect black cab drivers and kick Uber out of the capital if they put one foot out of line!Straight talking black cab drivers were about to get a painful and entirely undeserved lesson in politics.  Far from being their White Knight, Sadiq has proved to be five and a half  feet of pain in the ass shoved into a 4 foot sack. After all black cab drivers have been through, now Sadiq Khan lets them down

Hated Uber buddy George Osborne, in the Standard,  has warm words for London Mayor Sadiq Khan.  Odd, because in the first year of his Mayoralty, Sadiq Khan has achieved practically nothing.  According to Ben Rogers (who works for Sadiq on the Finance Commission)  Sadiq Khan has “pushed air pollution” up the agenda, but the obvious action – cutting down traffic, has yet to happen.   As a Mayor,  says Ben,  Sadiq is more “deliberate and unifying”.  That’s the excuse for his zero results.   This has to be  the joke of the year. The Madness of King George

Osbo has accepted the job of Editor of the London Standard, but his editor role has not been approved by the advisory committee on business appointments (Acoba).  So  indignant are his constituents and others,  a petition on site 38 degrees gathered momentum over Saturday with over 100,000 signatures. The organisers of the petition wrote on the page: ‘It’s not appropriate for someone to be a member of the government and also control a huge amount of the media.” Continue reading

Sleazy Riders! The Mail rats out Cameron and Osbo over Uber

The cat is out of the bag!  The Mail revealed today after a flat denial last year, a second freedom of information request has resulted in TfL revealing that Boris Johnson was indeed leant on by Osbo and his henchmen to to lay off Uber.  There was apparently a huge disagreement between No. 10 and Mayor Boris Johnson’s office., because the Mayor wanted fairness and observance of the rules and Osbo and Cameron wanted Uber let off everything scot free.Boris scheduled endless meetings with Osbo insisting minicabs must be capped.   He got nowhere. The argument between the Chancellor and the Mayor became so heated, it eventually became clear to Osbo the Mayor did not intend to give in, particularly as Boris kept applying for legislation to cap minicabs, which Osbo continually refused. The legal challenges pile up for May

Remainer Theresa May has been dithering and wallying around re. Brexit for the last 4 months.     What has the PM achieved, except to let in a legal challenge by Gina Miller, that was successful in the High Court! mayindiajpgThe judges who ruled in the High Court were all rabid Remainers.  So are the judges being hand picked for the appeal in the Supreme Court. Court setback for Uber: TfL licence means TfL laws.

Uber are taking TfL to court over the regulations instigated by Boris Johnson, including an English test.  Uber is arguing that the English test is discriminatory and contravenes the Equality Act. uber15Anyone normal might think that it is entirely reasonable in such a responsible job to expect drivers to speak good English.  Not so Uber, whose standards are the lowest imaginable.
