Hollywood stars have been showing off bigtime against the “tyranny” of the Trump government recently. Jodie Foster, rocking the Jane Fonda – Hanoi Jane look with the shades, told voters “Now is the time to resist”. This is insurgency. Donald Trump is the rightful President, democratically elected by the people. Americans are free to express an opinion. They are free to demo peacefully, but inciting insurgency is a crime.
The Insurrection Act of 1807 is the set of laws that govern the ability of the President of the United States to deploy troops within the US to put down lawlessness, insurrection and rebellion.This legislation was used to declare the commencement of the American Civil War. On September 30, 2006, the Congress modified the Insurrection Act as part of the 2007 Defense Authorization Bill . Section 1076 of the law widened the President’s ability to deploy troops within the United States to enforce the laws.As quiet, thoughtful Andrew Garfield said yesterday, “We have reached the stage when the view of a celebrity is thought to be worth more that the view of an ordinary person. I don’t agree with that. ”

If celebs keep insisting “Not in my name”, “not my President” and other such histrionic guff, if they use their stardom to incite the people to revolt against a democratically elected US government they are asking for a jail term.
When Madonna, after a foul mouthed rant at Trump, threatened to blow up the White House at a rally, Clint Eastwood rightly called the cops. She was warned when she pulled down her nicks to show a “rebellion tattoo”, and talked about demolishing a public building , she was pushing it. Meryl, De Niro, Jodie Foster, Madonna, Ga Ga and Co. need to understand if they carry on in this silly way, not only are they indulging in fascist behaviour, they are the oppressors of the people.
