15th March: Lynton Crosby now writes for the Daily Telegraph. In the latest Telegraph Poll, Leave are now in the lead. And Lynton Crosby says Leave voters are more likely to go to the polls.Sir Lynton said: “As a whole, the country is divided. Almost half (47 per cent) support Remain (same as Brexit) while the same proportion (49 per cent) support Leave. But this does not take into account the differential between Remain and Leave supporters in their likelihood to vote.
Leave voters are more likely to say they will show up – 79 per cent say they are certain to vote if the referendum was held today – whereas 72 per cent of Remain voters say the same. Taking this into account, Leave (52 per cent) has a seven point lead over Remain (45 per cent).”
Remain are too complacent, says Sir Lynton and he reckons the burning passion of the Leave voters will see them home by at least 7 points.
To have a master strategist like Sir Lynton say Leave will win is a huge boost for the campaign.
The LEAVE campaign has also taken the lead in the poll below.
