On BBC Question Time last night David Cameron was roundly mocked for arguing from Planet Fear fares might rise on SleazyJet. The PM clearly believes that preventing this matters more than losing British democracy and the primacy of British law. If that is how he views our priorities, his view of the British people couldn’t be lower.Liz Truss’s argument for REMAIN: Do you know how long the EU takes to do things? It took 20 years to open up the market for British beef, still not done! This is an argument to stay? hahaha
Today Lord Owen weighed in for Brexit, to point out the EU is bad for Britain. He argues:
Leaving the EU will re-energise Britain, and allow us to make all our own laws.
The eurozone is too large and needs to be restructured.
EU diplomatic blunders triggered Russian aggression in the Ukraine.
The PM’s move to get military backing for REMAIN started to unravel within hours.
Former special forces chief Sir Michael Rose said he was wrongly included on the list.
Field Marshal Lord Edwin Bramall said he felt pressured into signing. It is not the sort of letter I would sign, said Lord Edwin, but I was presented with a fait accompli.
Sir John Nott, a former Defence Secretary said the EU will disintegrate because of ncontrolled immigration and a collapsed euro.
Lord Owen and Michael Howard agree. David Cameron failed in his negotiations. Nothing is more important than preserving democracy and the primacy of British Law.
