In spite of the truth – that Gordon Brown triggered the banking crisis (he deregulated the banks) and in spite of the fact that Labour built no housing in 13 years nor did they close tax loopholes, Labour cling to their illusion that they are the “caring” party. They care for the poor and vulnerable. The Tories do not. This Grande Illusion has been blown sky high by Jezza Corbyn and Mayoral hopeful Sadiq Khan. The Labour Party has confirmed that they will support all strikes. They know that this will wreck the jobs market. Small businesses will fold. Retail will suffer. But they don’t care.
Strikes hurt the poorest and most vulnerable in society. Labour sees strikes as a political strategy, whereby they derail the government. Jezza and Sadiq see the suffering of the poorest as a price worth paying to achieve power. They can view the suffering they cause without a qualm, as long as they achieve their aim.
By the way, when Zac Goldsmith and Sadiq Khan reveal their tax accounts, will Sadiq admit he fiddled his expenses and had to repay thousands three times?
He is also heartless in achieving his political objectives, even if the poorest suffer.
Boris Johnson could never do this. Nor could Zac Goldsmith.
