As reported in the Daily Telegraph this morning, Ken Livingstone has refused to give up working for his Iranian dictator employers at Press TV.
Even die hard Ken supporter, Adam Bienkov (Tory Troll) had this to say, among other things. “Now I think Ken’s judgement here was wrong.” Respected Guardian journalist and Ken supporter, Dave Hill, has added his voice to the view that Ken should resign from Press TV. Nobody in their right mind could say any different really, could they? There are those who say that the only enterprise Ken now looks likely to win is a suicide mission, and he can probably count the number of Jewish people who will vote for him on one hand. Women and gay people aren’t too impressed either.
Ed Miliband and other leading Labour party members have been asked for their reaction, but no comments received so far. A leader in The Times today said “Ken Livingstone’s work for Iranian television is an affront to democratic values.” The leader urged Ed Miliband to tell Ken to resign from Press TV, and if he refused “they (Labour leaders) should scrupulously avoid campaigning for him.”
