Boris considers legal action over tube

Boris describes PPP as “looting”

Today’s Standard reports that Mayor of London Boris Johnson is so incensed at the “blank cheque” Londoners are being asked to write to prop up “ailing and failing” Tube maintenance company, Tube Lines, he is investigating the possibility of legal action.

With his usual forthrightness, the Mayor denounced the fact that Londoners are supposed to “guarantee massive and secretive payments of £400M to the shareholders of Tube Lines” which he blisteringly described as “daylight robbery”.

“In other countries, this would be called looting, but here it is called the PPP”.  Boris is also incensed that the government seeks to wash its hands of the mess it has created, and declared “We will fight this to the last”.

  2. Boris tells it like it is. Another huge cockup by the present government and then they disappear and it’s all not their fault.

  3. I bet it is hell to sort out though. These things always are.
