The most shocking scandal in the news at the moment, and the one requiring the most urgent attention, is that in spite of the conviction of a gang who groomed and sexually exploited young girls, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The police do what they can, but are hamstrung by the law as it stands. Another huge priority is how many families can survive from day to day. Meanwhile, the only subject that seems to exist for Ed Miliband is getting the sack for Jeremy Hunt.
It was undoubtedly very wrong that politicians were as close to Murdoch and News Intl. (and also other newspapers) as they were, but that has now been recognised. Politicians need the support of the press during elections and also to get their policies across. No party was exempt. But it is now accepted that it was wrong, and that situation will never exist again.
The public don’t give a stuff how David Cameron signed his texts to Rebekah Brooks. The sight of some fancy pants lawyer sniping and sniding about the extent of the friendship between the PM and RB, which in any case seems to have been perfectly innocent is utterly repellent to us……We don’t actually care what rules were or were not broken over the SKY BSB merger, when life threatening issues exist like the ruin of the lives of vulnerable young girls, and which families are going to be able to afford their bills, if their dad loses his job. Even if Jeremy Hunt made a few minor errors, there are other more important things to worry about. Big whoop.
I thought that the Labour Party was supposed to care about the people? Ed Miliband, what is wrong with you and what sort of a man are you that the only thing that consumes you is getting Jeremy Hunt fired? Why are you so preoccupied with this to the exclusion of peoples’ suffering?. If you want to regain the trust of the British people you are going the wrong way about it. Get out there and do your job in a way that is of benefit to the people. Allow the PM to do his job.
You are showing only too clearly how shallow you are and that it is you that is out of touch, not the Tories. It is you who hasn’t a clue what matters to ordinary people. In the most desperate situation the country has been in for decades, the only thing you care about is points scoring. The country needs you to do so much better than this.

Ed is concentrating on all the wrong things – there are massive problems that need attention, but he is just into points scoring and getting one over on the opposition.
